Spring-cleaning, I found mom’s handwritten recipe books. What treasured memories they brought back. I had to share.
Custard biscuits
Baking with my 5-year-old god daughter Kenya Grace.
60g Custard powder
60g Icing sugar
180g Flour
180g Butter
Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius
Cream butter and icing sugar
Sift custard powder and flour
Mix together
Roll into walnut size balls
Place 3” apart on a baking tray
Flatten with a fork, dipped in flour
Bake for 15-20 minutes

450g Butter
2 ½ Cups sugar
2 Eggs
2 Cups flour
1 ½ Cups coconut
3 Cups rice crispies
1 Heaped teaspoon bicarb
2 Cups oats
Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius
Cream butter and sugar
Add eggs
Combine dry ingredients
Mix together
Shape into balls the size of a teaspoon
Flatten with a fork
Place on greased baking tray
Bake for 15 minutes
