HerCollabs’ Privacy Notice advises you about the type of data collected through HerCollabs’ website (“Site”), and how we at HerCollab use, divulge and guard that information.  

Applicability of this Privacy Notice

HerCollabs’ Privacy Notice applies only to the data collected on this Site @hercollab.com. It does not relate to any data collected by HerCollab through other means or services including websites owned or operated by our members, venture partners and NGO’S.

Information you provide to HerCollab

You agree to voluntarily provide HerCollab with personal information including your name, business address, telephone number, date of birth and email address. This information is supplied to HerCollab either by registering on our Site or contacting us via email or telephone. Her Collab may use your provided personal information to communicate with you regarding further topics we think, might be of interest to you.  

Information we collect by automated means. 

HerCollab aspires to making your online experience on our Site informative and relevant. In order to achieve this, HerCollab needs to collect additional information through computerised means.

HerCollab will collect this information from you, when you visit our Site. The following data will be collected: your IP address, type of internet browser, operating system, denoting URLs, data on actions on our Site. Date and times of users visiting our Site will be collected. This data will be analysed and the results will enable HerCollab to tailor make our Site for your online experience and pleasure.  This data will be collected in a variety of ways, as explained below.  

 

Cookies.  

Cookies are usually small text files, given ID tags that are stored on your computer's browser directory or program data subfolders. This allows HerCollab to tailor our websites to our customers as we hold certain information about them.

Web beacons. 

A web beacon is a practise used on web pages and email that inconspicuously notifies HerCollab that a user has accessed some content. This allows HerCollab to monitor the activity of users on our website for the purpose of web analytics or page tagging. Web beacons can also be used for email tracking.

The information that web beacons and cookies collect is known as aggregated “click stream” data. This data is not linked to you as an individual, unless you have agreed to communicate with us by email.

Web Analytics.

HerCollab has the right to use third-party web analytics services such as Google Analytics and any other web analytics company, who use javascript and cookies to help analyse our users browsing activity on our website.  The cookies will supply HerCollab with the following information (your IP address, the URL visited, the date and time the page was viewed).  The data obtained will be used to monitor your user history on this Site. HerCollab may use the data we attain about you to further our relationship with you and for marketing, and sending you updates such as: newsletters and/or industry updates; respond to your requests and inquiries; verify your identity to ensure security for other purposes, such as: to operate, evaluate and improve our business (including developing new services; managing our communications; learning about our visitors, analysing our services and website; and facilitating the functionality of our website); perform data analyses (including anonymisation of personal information);enforce our Terms of Use comply with applicable legal requirements and industry standards and our policies.

We may use personal information for other additional purposes.  We will identify these additional purposes at the time of collection.

Sharing Information

HerCollab does not sell or otherwise disclose personal data we collect about you, except as described herein or otherwise disclose to you at the time the data is collected.  HerCollab may share information provided by our visitors to this Site with service providers we have retained to perform services on our behalf, including without limitation, hosting or operating this Site, carrying out your requests, responding to your inquiries, and analysing data.  We require these service providers by contract to appropriately safeguard the privacy and security of personal information they process on our behalf.
